Including Your Favorite Furry Friend in your Day

Is your pet a member of the family? Is it hard to imagine your wedding day without your favorite little face around? Make your day complete by including your baby as an important part of your event!

But before making your decision, be sure to seriously consider your pet's temperament. Not every pet can handle a large crowd of adoring wedding guests. Your cat may be skittish around new people, or your cocker spaniel may not like children trying to pick her up. Your pet's personality is an important consideration. Though the thought of your baby being there may be enticing, for the sake of your pet, think long and hard before making a decision.

If you do decide to include your pet, there are numerous ways to make that happen. You don't have to follow the leader. Be creative, but always keep the well being of your favorite animal in mind. If you want your pet to be a part of the ceremony, consider having someone accompany him or her down the aisle. You may also consider whether one of your bridesmaids or groomsmen can stand with your pet through out the ceremony.

Perhaps you prefer to let your baby enjoy the reception. You know whether your dog or cat can be left to wander around. If that's not a good idea, solicit a trusted chaperone to take care of your pet. Remember, this is still your special day and you don't want anything, even your favorite animal, to take away from that!
